Kentucky Standardbred Development Fund (KSDF)

The Kentucky Standardbred Breeders' Incentive Fund was established in 2005 and consists of 13 percent of all receipts collected from the sales and use tax on the fees paid for breeding a stallion to a mare in Kentucky.  The Kentucky Standardbred Development Fund is funded through a pari-mutuel tax paid by racetracks in Kentucky.  Together, along with any other money contributed, appropriated or allocated to the fund from all other sources, these funds promulgate the Kentucky Sire Stakes.
